Abstract
We investigate the effects of setup time and cost reduction through le arning on optimal schedules in the capacitated lot sizing problem. Dyn amic demand and time varying capacity is assumed. The scheduling effec ts are discussed, along with exact and heuristic approaches to solving these planning problems.
