The infrared spectrum of monoiodoacetylene has been recorded in certai
n selected wavenumber regions between 200 and 3500 cm-1 with a Fourier
transform spectrometer at resolutions varying from 0.0025 to 0.0046 c
m-1. All five fundamental bands of the HCCI molecule have been observe
d and analyzed. The rotational constants for the ground state, B0 = 0.
105942095(51), D0 = 1.73390(86) x 10(-8), and H0 = -2.27(42) x 10(15)
cm-1, have been determined by fitting 448 combination differences calc
ulated from the P and R transitions in the fundamentals. From the anal
yses of the upper states the molecular constants for all the fundament
al vibrational levels have been obtained. (C) 1994 Academic Press, Inc
