The interaction of quantum defects (defectons) with conduction band el
ectrons is considered, and there are taken properly into account the i
nfrared divergencies caused by this interaction and substantially affe
cting the width of the energy band of defectons and their contribution
to physical properties of metals. The interaction between the defects
and with other lattice imperfections is considered as well, along wit
h processes of clustering of quantum defects due to such interaction.
There are calculated the temperature dependencies of kinetic coefficie
nts for metals containing free defectons and two-level systems that ca
n arise when quantum defects are trapped by heavy immobile impurities.
