Abstract
Dynamics of H-2(+) and D-2(+) molecular ions under the action of a sho rt pulse of a strong electromagnetic field is investigated in the appr oximation of stationary (frozen) nuclei. The competition of ionization , dissociation, and excitation of molecular ions is considered. The pr obabilities of these processes are determined for various internuclear distances, and energy spectra of nuclei emerging from the photodecay of the system are analyzed.
