Abstract
The system of electron mirrors formed of free electrons is considered. An electromagnetic wave reflected from such a system is in the squeez ed state. Optimal geometric configuration of electron mirrors is obtai ned and the squeezing coefficient is estimated. The squeezing can be l arge for a large number of electron mirrors. The effects of relativist ic velocities of electrons in the process of squeezed-states generatio n are discussed.
