Abstract
The question ''Is the idea of quantum chaos productive for nuclear phy sics?'' is answered positively. Generic features of complicated dynami cs are expressed in terms of ''many-body chaos''. As applications, dyn amic enhancement of weak interaction, damping of single and multiple g iant resonances, anharmonicity of soft nuclei and continuum effects ar e discussed.
