Abstract
A case of visceral larva migrans manifesting as arthralgia, edema of t he limbs, and increased peripheral eosinophil counts is reported. Seve ral diagnostic hypotheses are discussed. A remission was achieved unde r fluoromebendazole and low-dose corticosteroid therapy. Two relapses occured, after 17 and 29 months, respectively. This course may have be en due to persistent Toxocara infection or to development of a self-su staining rheumatic disease.
