FIELD CORRELATIONS WITHIN A HOMOGENEOUS AND ISOTROPIC SOURCE

It is shown that the field correlation function within a homogeneous a nd isotropic source can be derived in a simple manner under the hypoth esis that the field is a superposition of isotropically distributed an d angularly uncorrelated plane waves. A similar derivation can be made for planar lambertian sources.
