A new kind of photon scanning tunneling microscope which reduces the a
symmetrical effects due to the illumination is described. The evanesce
nt electromagnetic field is produces through a conventional dark field
optical microscope condensor with a while incoherent light source. Im
ages of quartz crossed grating are presented and compared to the spati
al distribution of the calculated iso-intensity lines.
