M. Midttun et al., THE BULLARD LARYNGOSCOPE - REPORTS OF 2 CASES OF DIFFICULT INTUBATION, Acta anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, 38(3), 1994, pp. 300-302
The Bullard laryngoscope is a new combination of a fibreoptic light so
urce and an anatomically shaped rigid blade, to aid visualization of t
he larynx. We present two patients with expected severe difficult endo
tracheal intubation and describe their anaesthetic management. Our exp
erience confirms previous observations which showed that the Bullard l
aryngoscope provides an excellent view of the vocal cords in patients
with severe difficult airways.
