LAPAROSCOPIC PANCREATICOCYSTOJEJUNOSTOMY WITHOUT ENTERO-ENTERAL ANASTOMOSIS

The gradual enlargement of a persistant pancreatic pseudocyst generall y requries intervention. When the decision to carry out an operative p rocedure is made, preference should be given to internal rather than e xternal drainage. We have developed a simple technique in which the ps eudocyst is approached directly, to make a pancreatico-cystojejunostom y, which does not require a Braun- or Roux-en-Yanastomosis. We present our laparoscopic method, which opens up new possibilities in the trea tment of pancreatic pseudocysts.
