Vd. Zaitsev et al., RADIATION-CHEMICAL BEHAVIOR AND SPECTRAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SOLVATED ELECTRONS IN LIQUID TRIALKYL PHOSPHATES, High energy chemistry, 28(1), 1994, pp. 21-24
Spectral-kinetic properties of solvated electrons (e(s)) were investig
ated in eight trialkyl phosphates (TAP) by nanosecond pulse radiolysis
. It was found that the main reaction determining the radiation-chemic
al behavior of e(s) is their dissociative attachment to TAP molecules
in all of the solvents studied. The parameters of optical absorption b
ands of e(s) were measured; the form of spectral curves was analyzed.
The results are discussed in terms of a modem view of dissociative e(s
) attachment reactions and the role of molecular structure in the dete
rmination of the localized state of an excess electron.
