Abstract
The efficiency of luminescence quenching depending on the concentratio n of a hydrophobic energy acceptor (acetylanthracene) in a nonionic wa ter-Triton X-100 micelle system was studied for a tris(bipyridyl)-ruth enium(II) complex and its three amphiphilic derivatives. A statistical model of the process was proposed and applied for the estimation of t he intramicellar rate constants of luminescence quenching and the solu bilization constants of ruthenium complexes.
