G. Moulin et al., IMAGING OF FAT THROMBUS IN THE INFERIOR VENA-CAVA ORIGINATING FROM ANANGIOMYOLIPOMA, Cardiovascular and interventional radiology, 17(3), 1994, pp. 152-154
A rare case of fat thrombus in the inferior vena cava originating from
an angiomyolipoma is reported. Diagnostic imaging including ultrasono
graphy, CT, MRI, and cavography was performed preoperatively. MRI allo
wed the most complete preoperative staging because of specific fatty s
ignal intensity and good assessment of renal vein involvement.
