Abstract
The variational-cumulant expansion method is applied to the 2- and 3-d imensional Ising model on the simple quadratic and cubic lattice. The model is evaluated to the seventh order. The critical temperature is g iven, and curves of the internal energy and specific heat are displaye d for 3-dimensional case.
