Superlattices of Er100-xTbx/Y (x = 3.5) have been grown on Niobium buf
fer layers using molecular-beam-epitaxy method to investigate the magn
etic properties of Er-Tb alloy layers. The temperature dependence of m
agnetization was measured using a SQUID magnetometer. A marked differe
nce in the magnetization is found between the superlattices with thick
nesses of 35 Angstrom and 105 Angstrom. The result is discussed in con
junction with the spin structure determined by neutron scattering stud
