Abstract
The pyrolysis of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) has been described in terms of a relatively simple kinetic model, based on a large number of labor atory tests. The model predictions are in a good agreement with experi mental data, regarding hydrochloric acid and non-condensable combustib le gases. Therefore, the proposed model can be used to predict with go od approximation the distributions of the above classes of compounds, in the whole range of applied experimental conditions.
