The steady-state and time-resolved luminescence of CuBr quantum dots o
f different growth processes and in the wide range of sizes between R/
a(B) almost-equal-to 1 to 6 has been analysed. A radiative transition
energetically lower than the exciton luminescence has been observed an
d attributed to the confined biexciton state. The increasing biexciton
binding energy with increasing confinement has been confirmed, in agr
eement with theory and experimental results reported for CuCl.
