Abstract
Hexacoordinated binuclear ruthenium(III) complexes of the type [{RuX2( EPh3)2}2(mu-BDK)] (where X=Cl or Br and BDK=bis-beta-diketonate) have been prepared by the reactions of (RuCl3(AsPh3)3], [RuCl3(PPh3)3], [Ru Br3(AsPh3)3] and [RuBr3(PPh3)2(CH3OH)] with bis-beta-diketones. The co mplexes have been characterised by means of analytical and spectroscop ic (IR, electronic and EPR) data. Octahedral structures are proposed f or all these complexes.
