P. Giamarchi et al., DYNAMIC HEAD SPACE SYSTEM IN EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH METHODOLOGY - USE IN ANALYSIS OF RADIO-INDUCED HYDROCARBONS, Analusis, 22(3), 1994, pp. 127-134
Head space systems are used to analyse volatile compounds in liquid or
solid samples without preliminary extraction. The experimental resear
ch methodology has been used to obtain the optimal performances of the
system. After determination of the main factors, the modelisation has
been made using a Doehlert experimental matrix. Study of the response
equation, and the canonic equation, leads to the values of factors wh
ich optimise the experimental response, and permit to obtain a total d
esorption of the volatile compounds contained in the sample.
