Abstract
From the hexane extract of the wood of Abies marocana seven sesquiterp enoids, 14 diterpenoids, five triterpenoids, two sterols and many fatt y acids have been identified. Four of them, 15-hydroxy-8,12 alpha-epid ioxyabiet-13-en-18-oic acid, (23S,25R)-3 alpha-acetoxy-17,23-epoxy-9,1 9-cyclo-9 beta-lanostan-26,23-olide, (23R,25R)-3 alpha-acetoxy-9,19-cy clo-9 beta-lanostan-26,23-olide and (23R)-3 alpha-acetoxy-9,19-cyclo-9 beta-lanost-24-en-26,23-olide are new natural products.(8R,12S,13S)- and (8R,12R,13R)-8,12-epoxy-l3-hydroxylabd-14-ene are described in the genus Abies for the first time.
