Abstract
Exact analytical solutions are obtained for the flow of a gas carrying dust particles through a shock wave. These solutions are applicable f or particular values of the dust loading ratio and heat capacity. The solutions demonstrate the types of flow which can occur and provide a series of solutions which can be used to validate numerical methods fo r computing dusty shock flows.
