Synthetic calcium silicate, pretreated with various quantities of orga
nofunctional silane (Si-69(R))-based coupling agents, has been investi
gated in a compound based on styrene-butadiene rubber. The properties
of the rubber compound with untreated synthetic calcium silicate and t
hose observed after direct addition of an adequate quantity of Si-69(R
) during the mixing period have been compared.
