In this paper we study the dynamic behaviour of delayed cellular neura
l networks (DCNNs). By means of a rigorous eigenvalue and eigenvector
analysis and by numerical simulations we show that simple DCNNs compos
ed of only two cells can exhibit a large variety of dynamic phenomena:
stable and unstable closed orbits and chaotic attractors.
