Abstract
In this work, we have studied the stability of sodium carboxymethylcel lulose (NaCMC) powder after irradiation. Its effect on the physical, c hemical and pharmacotechnical properties has been investigated in orde r to determine the influence of such treatment on the functional prope rties of NaCMC, especially on the formulation of gels, suspensions, ta blets and sustained release parenteral dosage forms.
