Abstract
Recent research concerning hydrogen technology focusses on membrane te chnology. Small electrolysers and fuel cells with high power density a re attractive for many different applications such as transportation a nd energy storage for solar systems or other renewable energy sources. In order to lay the foundations of widespread application, cost reduc tion must be achieved and a simple and reliable system must be designe d. Various membrane/electrode units have been prepared and the results of electrolysis and fuel cell operation experiments are presented.
