Abstract
The question of saturation of self-organized criticality in the ''game of Life'' is analyzed through finite-size scaling. We have carried ou t connection-machine simulations for lattices up to 1024 x 1024. In th at range we find no evidence of saturation. We do, however, find finit e-size exponents that seem inconsistent with a single length-scale pic ture at criticality.
