Abstract
Photolysis of selenoacetals 7-10 and acylselenides 13 and 14 generates 4'-deoxyribonucleotide radicals. Photocurrent experiments show that r adicals with a phosphate group in beta-position give rise to a heterol ytical bond cleavage.
