Objective: To provide fertility to couples in whom the man has surgica
lly unreconstructable obstructive azoospermia. Design: Prospective. Se
tting: Hospital-based IVF unit, including associated division of urolo
gic microsurgery. Patients: Couples referred to our fertility unit for
treatment of men with surgically unreconstructable reproductive tract
obstruction, including congenital absence of the vas deferens. Main O
utcome Measures: Fertilization, pregnancies, and live births.
