Aa. Danilova et al., FEATURES OF MULTIPLE-MODALITY TREATMENT O F BACTERIAL ECZEMA, INCLUDING HE-NE-LASER EXPOSURE, Vestnik dermatologii i venerologii, (3), 1993, pp. 59-63
Multiple-modality treatment, including anavenol laser phonophoresis, l
aser photochemotherapy and vascular therapy, was administered to 91 pa
tients with bacterial eczemas, 28 of them with paratraumatic and 63 wi
th nummular conditions. Neither corticosteroids nor antibiotics were i
ncluded in the therapeutic complex. Low-intensity He-Ne laser with a w
avelength of 0.632 nm and power of 20 mWt/cm2 was employed; daily 5-8
min sessions were carried out. Such treatment helped attain a stable 2
-year remission in 89 % of patients with paratraumatic eczemas (25 of
the 28 cases) and in 94 % of those with nummular eczemas (59 of the 63
cases). No complications or side effects were recorded. Combination o
f anavenol laser phonophoresis and redergin therapy was the optimal fo
r patients with paratraumatic eczemas, whereas laser photochemotherapy
was the most effective for those with nummular eczemas. Bacteriologic
, electron microscopic and immunologic studies have confirmed the effi
cacy of treatment.
