The radical yield from the radiolysis of crystalline perfluoroisobutyl
ene, G(R) congruent-to 8.6, is much larger than for linear perfluoro h
ydrocarbons. The main gaseous product from radiolysis of perfluoroisob
utylene is tetrafluoroethylene G(C2F4) = 2, and perfluoroisobutane G(C
4F10) = 1.8. Perfluoromethane G(CF4) congruent-to 0.2 and hexafluoropr
opylene G(C3F6) congruent-to 0.2 were also formed.
