Abstract
Floating Langmuir layers of an azobenzene-functionalized copolymer wer e investigated with second-harmonic generation in reflection. The non- linear susceptibility tensor chi(2) of the monolayer and the orientati on of the polymer side groups were determined. The effect of surface p ressure on the second-harmonic intensity was investigated.
