Abstract
From the bark of Rauwolfia grandiflora a new monoterpenoid delta-lacto ne, isoboonein, was isolated together with boonein, loganin and logani c acid. The structure of isoboonein, established by spectroscopical me thods, was confirmed by partial synthesis from loganic acid.
