FATTY-ACIDS, SESQUITERPENOIDS AND DITERPENOIDS FROM SEEDS OF DIPTERYXLACUNIFERA

From the hexane extractives from seed kernels of Dipteryx lacunifera, 12 fatty acids have been characterized by CC-MS analysis of the methyl esters mixture obtained after methylation of the saponifiable fractio n. trans-beta-Farnesene and two new cassane furan diterpenes, 6 alpha- acetoxyvouacapane and 3 beta,6 alpha-diacetoxyvouacapane, were also is olated from extractives of the fruit shell. Structure determinations o f these secondary metabolites have been accomplished mainly by chemica l derivatization and spectral analysis.
