Abstract

Questionnaires were administered to a sampl e of Turkish men and women who applied for a marriage license for thei r first marriage. The results revealed differences between individuals involved in the two kinds of marriages, in terms of background variab les as well as context of interaction with partner and cognitions conc erning the relationship.
