Na. Belov, STRUCTURE AND STRENGTH OF CAST ALLOYS OF THE SYSTEM ALUMINUM-NICKEL-ZIRCONIUM, Metal science and heat treatment, 35(9-10), 1993, pp. 572-577
Alloying aluminum with transition metals is a promising direction for
creating new compositions which exhibit an improved set of various pro
perties: heat resistance, corrosion resistance, room temperature mecha
nical properties, etc. The structure and strength is studied in this w
ork for cast alloys of the system Al-Ni-Zr containing 0-1.2% Zr and 0-
8% Ni in the cast and heat treated conditions. As optimum composition
is suggested for Al-Ni-Zr-alloy together with its heat treatment sched
ule for maximum strength.
