Abstract
The aggregative and geometrical properties of gangliosides have been c ompared and discussed. It is shown that, due to the steric packing fea tures of gangliosides, significative considerations can be made on the primary and secondary structures of their head group, starting from t heir cooperative behaviour, supporting NMR direct observations.
