Abstract
A discussion of ultrasonic propagation in normal and superconducting h eavy fermion systems is presented, In the normal state the temperature and magnetic field dependence of elastic constants is discussed. The regions of adiabatic and isothermal sound propagation are shown. In th e superconducting state attenuation effects and B-T phase diagrams are discussed for different substances. The Gruneisen parameters as the i mportant electron-phonon coupling constants in the different phases ar e given and discussed.
