T. Inamoto et al., ANTIBIOTIC SUSCEPTIBILITY OF MYCOPLASMA-HYOPNEUMONIAE ISOLATED FROM SWINE, Journal of veterinary medical science, 56(2), 1994, pp. 393-394
The antibiotic susceptibility of thirty-nine strains of Mycoplasma hyo
pneumoniae isolated from swine between 1970-1981 and 1989-1990 was inv
estigated. From the present results, it is suggested that the suscepti
bility to chlortetracycline has been decreasing in Japan. On the other
hand, all the strains were sensitive to lincomycin, thiamphenicol and
macrolides. Newly developed macrolides such as tilmicosin, acetylisov
aleryl-tylosin and mirosamycin had equal or higher activity than gener
al macrolides.
