The crystal structure of the monoclinic diammonium succinate (NH4)2C4H
4O4 was determined at 301 K. The space group is P2(1)/c with Z = 2 and
a = 3.897(1) angstrom, b = 7.819(1) angstrom, c = 11.945(2) angstrom,
beta = 92.88(2)0, V = 363.5(1) angstrom3, calculated and experimental
density D(x) = 1.390(1) g/cm3 and D(exp) = 1.387(7) g/cm3. The crysta
ls show a perfect cleavage along (102BAR), parallel to the structural
layers.
