Vt. Ivanova et al., EXAMINATIONS OF SPECIMENS FROM PATIENTS P REVIOUSLY VACCINATED WITH DIFFERENT INFLUENZA VACCINES, Voprosy virusologii, 39(2), 1994, pp. 66-68
Studies of influenza virus type A and B strains isolated during the ep
idemics of 1990 and 1991 in Novgorod from sick children previously vac
cinated with influenza vaccines demonstrated no influence of postvacci
nation immunity on the antigenic properties of the isolates from patie
nts with different vaccination history. Under conditions of the concur
rent circulation of viruses with previously known and new antigenic st
ructures the difference in the immune response consisted in its greate
r stimulation of this response to new influenza virus strains.
