Ra. Volkova et al., ROCKET IMMUNOELECTROPHORESIS FOR EVALUATI ON OF GLYCOPROTEIN CONTENT IN CONCENTRATED RABIES VACCINES, Voprosy virusologii, 39(2), 1994, pp. 68-71
Rocket immunoelectrophoresis (RIE) was shown to be useful for the eval
uation of glycoprotein (GP) content in concentrated rabies vaccines, a
nd disintegron B., a zwitterionic detergent made in this country, for
treatment of the vaccines for these evaluations. The values of GP cont
ent obtained by RIE and single radial immunodiffusion test were simila
r. The highest values were obtained for all the vaccines tested with a
nti-PM GP serum compared with anti-ERA and Vnukovo-32 GP serum. When a
nti-PM and anti-Vnukovo-32 GP sera were used for RIE two components we
re revealed in the vaccines. All the preparations under study containe
d soluble GP.
