Abstract
We report a patient with presumed recurrence of IgA nephropathy in thr ee successive cadaver transplants. Failure to recognize the cause of p rogressive renal failure in the first two transplants may have been as sociated with less than optimal treatment for his hypertension and nep hrotic syndrome. His course illustrates the importance of biopsy-docum ented diagnosis of progressive dysfunction in kidney transplants.
