Abstract
Inheritance studies were carried out with two different strains of red tilapia in order to develop a model for production of all-red populat ions. Single-pair matings of white males (segregates from the propagat ion of Philippine red tilapia) with wild-type colored females of the s ame stock, and with Oreochromis aureus and O. niloticus females, produ ced all-red progeny. Dominant red O. niloticus, mated with wild-type c olored O. niloticus, also yielded all-red progeny.
