Abstract
The kinetics and the quantum yields of Fe(II) photooxydation in the Ir on-Iodine photochromic system were determined at 25-degrees-C under ex citation with monochromatic and integral visible light, The quantum yi elds values at 405, 436, 546, 578 and 650 nm excitation wavelengths ar e strikingly different from those reported in the literature and exhib it a maximum in the absorption band of the mixture of I2 and I3- photo sensible species.
