Abstract
A one-pot synthesis of 3-[2-(3, 4, 5-trisubstituted-1H-pyrazol-1-yl) - 4-thiazolyl] -2H-1-benzopyran-2-ones (3) has been carried out by conde nsation of 3,4,5-tri-substituted-1-thiocarbamoylpyrazoles (1) with sub stituted 3-acetylcoumarins(2)in the presence of I2 or Br2 in dioxane a nd DMF on a steam-bath.
