We have studied the influence of the boundary surfaces on spinodal dec
omposition in thin films of a critical polymer mixture. The wetting la
yer formed during spinodal decomposition is found to grow as t1/3 and
the corresponding composition vs. depth profiles exhibit dynamic scali
ng behavior. For sufficiently thin films, the effects of the two bound
ary surfaces interfere and the overall domain structure is found to be
strongly thickness dependent.
