Abstract
Nickel complexes with acyclic dioxotetramines and macrocyclic tetraaza -ligands, when present in dimethyl sulfoxide, inhibit its radical chai n oxidation with oxygen, as shown by the volumetric method. A scheme o f the processes involving the decay of alpha-sulfinylperoxyl radicals upon interaction with both Ni2+ and Ni3+ ions is proposed.
