Abstract
A philophthalmid cercaria, Cercaria kuwaitae IV sp. n., is described f rom the prosobranch gastropod, Centhidea cingulata (Gmelin 1790) from Kuwait Bay. Details are presented on the morphology and behaviour of t he cercariae. Scanning electron microscopy was used to study the surfa ce features of the cercariae and daughter rediae. This is the first re cord of a philophthahmid cercaria from the Arabian Gulf region.
