Rk. Hans et al., DISSIPATION AND ACCUMULATION KINETICS OF ENDOSULFAN IN SOIL AND EARTHWORM - PHERETIMA-POSTHUMA, Journal of environmental biology, 15(2), 1994, pp. 127-133
Periodic dissipation and accumulation kinetics of endosulfan (at 1 ppm
concentration) in soil and earthworms were studied by soil pot exposu
re method in controlled environment chamber in the laboratory. The ext
ractable residue and half life of endosulfan in soil was found to be 9
2% and 15.8 days respectively. The daily uptake of endosulfan by earth
worm from soil was 1503 ppb/day suggesting an increase of residue buil
d up and cumulative effects
